Sales Professional
SUMMARY
Develops and manages sales of fabricated polyethylene and polyurethane foams to large industrial establishments which will require traveling to customer sites an average of 40% of the work week, and acts as the primary company contact for all customer concerns by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Aggressively prospects for new customers and new sales opportunities by networking, social selling, attending trade shows, following up on customer inquiries, doing market research to identify sales targets, conducting market analysis to seek new or expanded business areas, and obtaining background intelligence on targeted prospects.

Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and competitors' products and our company’s products and manufacturing capabilities.

Makes cold calls using knowledge and research to prepare strong, relevant presentations stressing our company’s strengths and successes.

Will expand sales in new and existing accounts by using technical knowledge to introduce new products and applications.

Uses interactive communication skills to develop and maintain customer relationships and industry contacts that lead to potential sales.

Works with customers’ technical and purchasing representatives to assess their product needs, requirements, specifications and priorities.

Uses a consultative sales approach to provide creative product solutions within specific industries and markets. Adjusts solutions and proposals based on customer needs.

Uses background intelligence on targeted prospects in order to develop and execute a sales plan.

Professionally represents our company with all outside contacts by being enthusiastic, cooperative, organized, and well prepared.

Responds timely to all inquiries from current and prospective customers.

Maintains a high level of service to all accounts through regular face-to-face, email or phone contact with the key representative.

Effectively and efficiently manages time to maximize customer-centered activities. Utilizes proper planning techniques and capitalizes on the use of technology to minimize non-productive time and redundant activities.

Conveys accurate and complete quote, potential project and order information to estimating, engineering, maintenance, customer service, quality, shipping, and production personnel by following standard operating procedures.

Works with all levels of our company to resolve all customer issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Performs duties in accordance with all applicable company and quality system procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in technical or manufacturing area and three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be goal-oriented with well developed business acumen, and strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be a team player who can multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Must be persistent, tenacious, resilient and driven to succeed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, customers, and the other employees of the company. Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
REASONING ABILITY Must have strong analytical skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A current driver’s license with a good driving record.

Must be willing to travel via car or airplane to customer sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
